Christmas Card Set - Handmade Magazine Vol 27 No 3

HM_Vol27No3_Cover  I've had a set of Christmas Cards published in Handmade magazine Vol 27 No 3. The cards feature some of the stamp designs I created for Stamp-It which are still available for purchase. I've used Ranger Alcohol Inks for the backgrounds - which are fun and easy, especially for mass production of Christmas cards!!!

Here's a sneak at the cards in the mag:

Not long now until Christmas! We're starting to think about our usual family Christmas photo that we do each year... we have some ideas, but just have to get out and do the shot! Who knows which idea we'll end up doing... depends on the kids!

    Gift Tags and TV Shoot

I have a project in the latest issue of Paper Crafts mag. This issue is dedicated to being eco-friendly and shows many ways you can create, save money and save the planet! My creation is in the 'Using Double Photo-Prints' section, basically aimed at showing ways you can use old prints that you may have laying around from having doubles made of your photos when you first had them processed. I have a box full of 'doubles', so the ideas in this article will be put to good use for me!

As for my idea... well, I created gift tags out of photos. So instead if writing 'To Zoe', I put a photo of her on there instead. Here's the project:

    GiftTags

I think this would be a great idea for Christmas too. Imagine all the pressies under the tree with everyone's photo on them! I have some great (funny) photos of my family members, so I think it would be a fun thing to do!

My TV shoot yesterday went well (I think!! I'm obviously yet to see the final production of it. I know I'll cringe at myself, but hey, I do that every day anyway!!!!). We shot it at the Erina Scrapbook Store, and a huge thanks to Odette for coming in on her day off to let us do the shoot! Here's Tony (the cameraman):

As you can see I drove him crazy... ;) He's a funny guy! We did three projects which will show in 3 different episodes of Scrap It TV. First show airs on Foxtel on the How To Channel on Thursday August 6th at 7.30pm.

    Publications - March

SC_No63_Cover  It's been an exciting month for me - I've had several projects and articles in a few magazines and a few months ago I started writing photography articles for Scrapbook Creations magazine, so they'll start appearing soon too. It's great to be writing photography articles again!

In this issue (No 63) of Scrapbook Creations I'm the feature artist in the 'Who's Who of scrapbooking' section :) There's a little blurb, a couple of cards, a layout and an accordion book in a tin that I've created shown in there.

HM_Vol26No7_Cover And in this issue of Handmade magazine I've done a set of cards using a huge bunch of Maya Road product. I've used their chipboard, ribbons, metal ribbon slides, foam stamps and decorated their signature tins to put the cards into! Have also used lots of Ranger Adirondack Dimensional Pearls, and there's also a few stamps used from my Stamp-It collection.

I was also so excited to have a card in the latest Stampington Take Ten mag :)

CVR_TT1209(fpo)_md  Plus - in the last couple of issues of Creative Cardmaking I've had two articles in each mag. They're all using Darkroom Door goodies, so I've put that info on the Darkroom Door blog.

Right now Stew & I are getting our booth ready for the SIA (Scrapbooking Industry Australia) Trade Show next week in Sydney. It's amazing how much work goes into putting a booth together. We're axhausted already! Our booth is double the size this year too, but we have triple the amount of product to show so our booth is going to be jam packed with stuff!!! I've been busy working on new samples and many of the Darkroom Door Guest Artists work will be shown too. So excited!! Can't wait.
