During a Nepal trek in 2005, I was one of the 'slower' trekkers in our group. Along our trek one day, I came across a group of children who were on their way home from school. I stayed with them for a while, laughing, talking with them (with another Nepalese as our interpreter) and showing them photos of themselves that I was taking with my digital camera. They loved it and so did I!
I spent a good while with them before I continued on to camp. Upon arriving at camp, I found out that the faster trekkers in our group had unfortunately missed the children. We all have a different experience when we trek, and on this day it reminded me it's good to be slow sometimes!
