I've had such a great time at the Melbourne Craft & Quilt Fair this week! I flew to Melbourne on Wednesday to set up my Guest Artist booth which was in a prime position just inside the front door. Being so close to the entrance, my booth was full of people the minute the show opened on Thursday. I demoed all day each day (except for lunch breaks where Darkroom Door Creative Team members Teresa Abajo and Michelle Loffler took over for a while. So thankful for them!!)
I met so many friendly people and shared lots of ideas using Darkroom Door, Viva Decor and Ranger products. We did make and takes each day, introducing lots of people to the creative world of stamping! So much fun seeing someone's eyes light up when they stamp for the first time, or create a background with inks, or finish their first greeting card.
The weather in Melbourne was magnificent. Not that I got to be outdoors all that often, but whenever I was outside, it was quite warm with clear skies. I spent an evening eating dinner by the Yarra River overlooking the city and all the lights. And couldn't pass up this dessert...
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth at the show - I always love catching up with those I know and meeting new people. Especially the kids - there were quite a few who were keen to watch what I was up to and asked lots of questions. They loved the crayon resist technique! These are the next generation of stampers, so it's always good to start them young!
My next show will be in Canberra starting on Thursday 11th August. Hope to see you there!
