In a couple of weeks time I'll be heading up to Brisbane to teach workshops at the Scrapbook Expo held in southbank. This is one of those events that is just buzzing with excitement and inspiration. So many great artists teaching fabulous workshops, so many great stall holders with all the latest goodies for sale (yes, including the newest Darkroom Door stuff!) I'm so looking forward to catching up with everyone and sharing these projects and ideas with you all!
Bookings are now open at the Scrapbook Expo website. Here's a few sneak peaks of what I'll be teaching:
Create a beautiful vintage 'accordion' book using Darkroom Door's new Love Letters Collection and vintage trims by Craft Queen. Here, you learn how to combine rubber stamps and vintage imagery, as well as how to use the new Distress Ink Stains for fabulous backgrounds. These techniques can also be applied to any other papercraft project.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Create a series of fun cards with the new 'Sweet Treats' Collection by Darkroom Door and ribbons by Craft Queen. You will learn how to colour photographic rubber stamps with markers, tint ribbons with new Distress Ink Stains and use Perfect Pearl Mists, as well as discover various uses for Background Rubber Stamps, Photochips and Filmstrips to create sweet homemade cards. These techniques can also be applied to any other papercraft project.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go back in time and create a series of cards and Artist Trading Cards using the new Steampunk and 1920s Chic stamp sets from Darkroom Door. We'll also use vintage ribbons and trims by Craft Queen and Idea-ology elements by Tim Holtz. Learn background techniques with Distress Stains, how to do collage and layer different stamping elements to create stylish, fun projects!

Hope to see you there!
Rachel
