It's almost 2009, and it's time to do some new calendars for the family! You may remember the 2007 calendars that I completed last year. This time instead of creating the whole calendar myself, I used these calendars from Paper & Stuff. They are already pre-printed with the blank top for you to decorate yourself. Too easy!!
I had two ideas in mind, the first one was creating a calendar with general photos of the family. I just used 6x4 photos, and the calendar is an 8x8 size, so it's pretty quick and easy to put it all together. Here's our January page:
(Calendar: Paper & Stuff; Patterned Paper: My minds Eye; Stickers: Pebbles Inc)
The other idea was to have the kids create little artworks on each page. Here's Ethan's January page: (he loves working with lead pencil, he says he can draw more detail :)
You could also turn these calendars into mini scrapbooks. Like I did with the calendars here, you could write what you did each day, and at the end of the month create an 8x8 collage of photos from that month to put at the top. Similar to the layout that I did here also.
Anyway - it's good to be creating! I've been swallowed up with work & preparing for Christmas for the past month and I know I've been neglecting this blog - but please know I am thankful to all of you who stop by. I appreciate all of the comments and emails I receive, and I hope you are all enjoying the festive season!
