I've just arrived home from teaching my 4th photography workshop in as many weeks at Scrapbook Superstore at Erina. They run the 4 workshops as a complete course called 'CameraTech', and it has been a lot of fun. Heaps exhausting, because it's a lot of talking and a lot of techincal stuff, but still so much fun. I love hearing people's stories on photography, ideas, experiments gone right and wrong, etc. I get a real kick out of seeing the real experimental photos the students take. Anyway, even though the 4 week course has officially 'ended', I do have a couple of specialty workshops on subject matter that will continue at the Superstore for the next 3 Wednesday nights. Details:
Wednesday 7th March: Portraits 7-9pm. Learn lots of cool tips on perfecting portrait photography, from babies right through to Grandparents. Single portraits. Group shots. Lighting. Equipment. How to create a home studio, and how to make the best of location shoots. etc etc etc!
Wednesday 14th March: Travel and Landscapes 7-9pm. Don’t come home frustrated with your holiday photos! This class will show you how to make the best of your holiday and shows how you can capture the essence of your travels and landscapes!
Wednesday 21st March: Still Life 7-9pm. Learn how to photograph your scrapbook layouts, altered items, flowers, heirlooms, everyday objects, interiors, including how to capture the close up detail and texture using Macro photography.
The spaces are filling fast, so call them if you'd like to find out about prices and to book. Their number is 02 4365 0770.
Next week I head to Perth on the 8th to teach a bunch of Ranger classes. Details:
Thursday 8th March: Alcohol Inks 6-8pm @ Pioneer Craft Studio. Ph: 08 9399 2050
So.... lots of good times coming up! Promise I'll take my camera with me to Perth and grab some shots during the classes. (funny how I always have to take it to the photography workshops, but never take a photo to share! Will have to remedy that!)
Oh - and NEWS! I have 10 new flower papers being released next week while I'm in Perth! woo hoo! I've been working on some samples with them this week, both cards and layouts, and will share them as soon as the papers have been released :) Can't wait! :):)
