To start, I wanted to create the impression of a starry sky.
(You can see a strip down the centre where the stamping didn't meet but that is okay because I knew I would be chopping it up.)
To create this effect I simply applied the Splatter Background Stamp onto specialty stamping paper with embossing ink. I then heat set some holographic embossing powder.
Next I rubbed Faded Jeans Distress Ink into it and sprinkled with some Glimmermist. I kept applying ink and Glimmermist until I had the depth of colour I wanted. I even left some swirl marks from the blending tool to add to the effect. I smudged the stamping a little too but that was okay because it made it look like the stars were moving. Even accidents have their uses. LOL
Here you can see the background cut up and added to the side step card base I created.
Next it was a matter of adding all of the elements.
