Hi all!!
I am sooo excited that the time has arrived for my very first Creative Team post for Darkroom Door. Not only that but I got to play with the brand new Sydney Collection paper products.
So today I have three cards to share with you using this fabulous collection.
The Luna Park image from the Sydney Photochips was the first image that caught my eye. It is such a fun and vibrant photo and brings back memories of visiting there as a very small child. I knew that I would need some gorgeous bright colours to match the photo. I started by stamping the Polka Dots Background Stamp onto white cardstock with Versamark Watermark and heat setting some black embossing powder. I applied various Distress Inks and splattered with Dylusions Ink Sprays. I also applied the Smile Word Block Stamp to white cardstock and heat embossed black embossing powder again before layering onto the polka dot background. For the image itself I simply sanded the edges, distressed and added red ink to the edges. I cut individual letters from the Sydney Wordstrip and adhered to scrap chipboard before gluing onto the twine.

For this card I was inspired by the Opera House image from the Sydney Photochips. I coloured in the water in the photo with a Tim Holtz Distress Marker and sprinkled on a little Glimmermist for added shimmer. I then took the blue theme through to the background by rubbing in some Distress Ink and then stamping the Harlequin Background Stamp over the top in a slightly darker blue ink. I stamped the Smile Word Block Stamp onto white cardstock and cut out some clouds from it.

My last card was created in a similar fashion to my second card with a blue background. I have cut the sky away from three images of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, sanded the edges and layered one on top of the other. I have also added a strip from the edge of the Filmstrip.
