Dear Santa Photochips - scrapbook page

Christmas is now over for another year - I hope you all had a wonderful day with your loved ones! Now it's time to scrapbook all those Christmas memories... Connie Mercer has a great scrapbook page to share with us to get us inspired! She's combined her photos from Christmas with some of the Dear Santa Photochips... take a look:

Connie has also used the Dear Santa Wordstrips, Mail Art stamps (staple on the journaling block) along with some buttons, bakers twine etc!

As 2011 winds down, we'd also like to say a HUGE thankyou to all of our blog readers for your support, inspiration and friendship throughout the year! 2012 is going to start off with a bang - we have some amazing news that we can't wait to share with you! Of course it will have to wait until the new year...

Christmas Ornaments

Ohhhh.... it's almost Christmas!!! Things are getting exciting around here, we have the twinkling fairy lights everywhere and it's looking very magcial!

Connie Mercer has created another fab project to share with us...

Notes from Connie:

I used some old tart tins I found at a junk store~they are quite nice:)  I cut the Dear Santa montage images from the sheet {you will need to measure the bottom of your tin}. I put a cupcake paper in mine and then cut out the bottom and adjusted from that. enjoy!!

Aren't these just divine!!! Such a great way to decorate your tree or your home over Christmas!

Christmas Tags - Gift Idea

Connie Mercer has a neat little gift idea to share with us today using the Tags stamp set and Dear Santa images.

From Connie: My idea was to make an envelope full of mini tags for a gift idea. The envelope is by Maya Road. The envelope could also hold a small gift after the tags were placed on gifts.

Paper bag Christmas card tutorial

Jill has created a fun set of Christmas cards using brown paper bags and Dear Santa Photochips and Wordstrips. First, check the finished project out:

Here's a tutorial on how they were made:

Step 1: Take plain brown paper bag and fold in approximately thirds.

Step 2: After folding above, fold in half as shown to make a “card”.

Step 3: Take a luggage tag and some ribbon. Cut ribbon a little longer than the folded bag so that it hangs out the top and bottom of the card. Staple ribbon and tag onto back of “card”.  This will give you space to write on!  Thread some more ribbon through the little hole in the luggage tag.

Step 4: Close the card and staple one of the gorgeous Dear Santa photochips over a piece of muslin (or any other fabric – actually some old book pages would look fab too!). Staple onto the front of the card only (obviously!)

Step 5: Add a little bit of “Ho Ho Ho” from the Dear Santa wordstrips (with a little more ribbon and maybe some tinsel tucked underneath).

Step 6: You’re done!!! These are super easy and quick and look fabulous (I think so anyway!)

Repeat with all of the Photochips...

If you wanted to make these into mini books, just add more bags and tags to the back until you have the amount of pages that you'd like!

Dear Santa Tags and Hanger Danger!

Sorry for being missing in action for the past few days... I've been busy finishing off a scrapbook project for my Grandparents to give to them for Christmas and it needed to be done by last weekend. It was a fairly major project, a 30 page scrapbook album full of stories from each of their grandkids (my siblings and cousins). Paula (my cousin) and I had a crazy weekend doing it all - and wow, I'm so glad we did it!!  can't wait to see the looks on our Grandparent's faces when they see it! (there's some pretty crazy stories in there!!) Hence, I've not had a huge amount of sleep over the past few days and unfortunately my blogging stopped - and that's not good - because I have SO many fabulous Christmas projects to share with you!

I've talked enough, let's get straight to the art!

We all love a little hanger danger form Jilly... and here's one that would look awesome to decorate your home for Christmas!

Look at all that yummy texture! We can always count on Jill for showing us some cool mixed pieces of art! All of these use the Dear Santa Collection, specifically the Montage images and Wordstrips.

Jill's created image transfers out of the images (packing tape technique). Doesn't it look amazing :)

Christmas decorated bread board!

Godelieve has created this beautiful altered bread board with a Dear Santa Christmas theme!! This would look fabulous on display during december!

Here's some info from Godelieve on how she created it:

I started with a layer of Viva Decor Precious Metal Paint, then gel medium, napkins, gesso, Distress Ink, Distress Crackle paint, gold acrylic paint, and stamps from the Dear Santa Vol 2 set and Christmas Reindeer set.

Dear Santa Gift Tags

Are you looking for a fun way to decorate your gifts this year? Here's some great tags created by Connie Mercer to inspire you!

Supplies:  Tag stamp set, Dear Santa wordstrip, Dear Santa filmstrips
 
From Connie: I stamped these out on Manilla cardstock (Ranger), distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  Then decorated with the fabulous Dear Santa Filmstrips.

Wouldn't these look fab on Christmas gifts!! Or even hanging from a Christmas tree :)
