Let’s say you’re invited to come into our darkroom for a day. What would you bring with you? Not what – who! I would bring my 12 y.o. daughter who also papercrafts, and is creative in her own unique ways. (and probably wouldn’t let me leave the house without taking her anyway!)

We're so excited to have Fiona share her talents with us! Let's check out what's she's been up to...
Tag Series #1:
Size 4 tags were first inked in Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress Inks, and the branch stamped in Frayed Burlap. The text stamp was white embossed on dark brown cardstock, trimmed and torn and adhered to tag. The images and text were stamped in Walnut Stain on white cardstock and trimmed, and the text edged in Frayed Burlap after trimming. I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edges, added my images and finally the text and twine were also added.
Stamps used: Yuletide Vol 1, Yuletide Vol 2, Noël

Santa Card:
Start by stamping and embossing the Santa stamp on kraft cardstock, and colouring in pencils. Add a few background stamps. Stamp the trees on vellum in Pine Needles Distress Ink and carefully sprinkle white embossing powder across the tree tops and emboss – then painstakingly wait till the Distress Ink finishes drying (or blot with a tissue if you are impatient!) Stamp and emboss some stars, fill the gaps with more stamps, tear the corner (this is where the Santa will be visible) and sew to the kraft layer. Attach this to red carstock, and dark brown card base. The ticket strip is Tim Holtz ticket die, which I have stamped using the Darkroom Door 25 Dec ticket stamp, aged with vintage photo and walnut stain Distress Ink, and attached to card with staples. Attach the word strip phrase to a piece of red offcut and attach to card.
Stamps used: Yuletide Vol 1, Yuletide Vol 2, Noël
Wordstrip: Yuletide Vol 1

Yuletide Montage Tags:
I used the large size 8 tags in white for this project. Using the large stamping block from Darkroom Door I arranged the Christmas words in matching font on my block, and carefully lined up my block to the tag for stamping in Black Soot Distress Ink. I dragged the edges across the ink pad as well. Carefully wrap and twist wire and beads around the Yuletide montage images and mount on 3D tape and attach to white cardstock, black cardstock, and finally the tag. I added the matching word stamp to that which was on the montage image in silver ink , punched two new holes at the top and attached my ribbon.
Montage: Yuletide
Stamps used: Yuletide Vol 1
