So far we've seen cards and tags using the Frangipani Photo Stamp... today we're sharing a Chatterbox, a bookmark and another fabulous card! Michelle Loffler and Sarah Schwerin are the creative artists behind these fun projects... let's check them out:
Chatterbox by Michelle:
I used to make these all the time when I was a kid... how fun does this look with all the colours and the little frangipanis!!
Here's some notes from Michelle:
Supplies:
8x8 sheet 150gms white card
Darkroom Door Frangipani Photo Stamp
Darkroom Door Harlequin Background Stamp
Darkroom Door All Occassions Rubber Stamps
Memento Dew Drop Oh Baby Set
Instructions:
- Fold a chatterbox using the white cardstock. Folding instructions can be found here.
- Stamp Frangipani Photo Stamp on the panels of the chatterbox using masking and Oh Baby inks
- Stamp Harlequin on the centre panel of the chatterbox
- Stamp All Occassions shapes on the inside panels and glue printed affirmations
- Number each panel (here I used some stickers)
- Finish by printing or stamping colour names for the outside of the chatterbox
How cool is that! I was going to say it would be hours of fun for the littlies, but I'm thinking us 'oldies' would have a lot of fun with this too :) Thanks for sharing this with us Michelle!!
Sarah has created some fab projects too, first up a bookmark:
The frangipani stamped in pink looks so sweet :) Here's some instructions from Sarah:
Supplies
Frangipani Photo Stamp
Photobooth Ladies
Correspondence Stamp Set
All Occasions Stamp Set
Walnut Stain Distress Ink
- To create the bookmark, cut a strip of pink Bazzill cardstock to 2x10" and folded it in half.
- Stamp the handwriting stamp from the Correspondence set at the top section of each side of the bookmark using Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I used the same ink with a sponge dauber to ink around the edges of the cardstock.
- Stamp the Frangipani stamp onto white cardstock with Pink Versacolor ink, then cut two 2x3" strips out of the stamped image and inked around the edges. Stick the strips to the bottom section of each side of the bookmark.
- Silhouette one of the Photobooth ladies, and ink around the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Adhere her to the front of the bookmark, just above the Frangipani stamp.
- Cover the join line on each side with a piece of American Crafts ribbon.
- Stamp "Hello" from the All Occasions stamp set with Pink Versacolor ink onto white cardstock. Cut around the word with fine tipped scissors, and ink around the edges with the pink ink. Adhere the word to the front of the bookmark, then trace around it with a brown Marvy Marker to make it stand out.
- To finish, stick some Basic Grey magnets to the inside of each side of the bookmark so that when you slide your bookmark over your book page the 2 sides magnetize in place so that it won't fall out.
- This sort of bookmark is great as a gift, and will help you use up your scraps!
Great idea Sarah! Who doesn't have LOTS of scraps laying around that could be whipped up into something cute like this? I certainly have enough scraps to make about a hundred or so... yikes, better put them to good use then!
Here's another great project from Sarah:
Supplies
Frangipani Photo Stamp
All Occasions Stamp Set
Walnut Stain Distress Ink
- Stamp the Frangipani stamp onto Kraft cardstock with white ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. This gave the image a nice texture and created an interesting pattern!
- Cut another piece of Kraft cardstock to 3.75x5.75", and stuck the Frangipani image onto the left hand side, trimming the excess around the edges where necessary.
- Ink around the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink using a sponge dauber. I stamped "Happy Birthday" in Walnut Stain ink in the bottom right hand corner of the card front.
- Adhere brown satin grosgrain ribbon down the middle both vertically and horizontally, and attached a ribbon in the centre, to give the look of a wrapped present.
- Adhere the whole card front onto a card base of dark brown Bazzill cardstock. The finished card is 4x6".
Another gorgeous card Sarah! It's a gift in itself! Thanks so much for sharing!
