Jill says:
I made this to celebrate the freedom and exhilaration of glorious nature!!! All of the Filmstrips were heavily distressed using Distress Inks and soaking in water. When they were dry, I further sanded them to give them even more of a weathered look. I adore them!
Starting by layering distressed (hmmm...am seeing a pattern here lol!) tags, I have machine stitched layers of tags and photos then chose some of the gorgeous wordstrips that inspire me to see the beauty in nature.
I have then dyed some muslin (dyed again with Distress Inks) and randomly stitched layers of muslin, flowers, leftover papers and ribbons, each toned in earthy colours.
To finish off I have added vintage buttons and then hand stitched glass beads and moss coloured thread.
Isn't this divine!!! I just want to run my fingers gently over the top to feel all that exquisite texture!
Thanks Jill!!!
