Heading out to SIA

We'll be exhibiting at the SIA Trade Show in Sydney over the next couple of days! We'll be setting up the booth later today and the actual show is on Tuesday & Wednesday. Our booth is double the size this year... and I can't wait to set it all up! There's so many fabulous samples from many of our guest artists along with as many as I could make too. The artwork from the guest artists is just simply amazing (thank you!!!). The photo above is a teaser too :)

If we have some internet access I'll update with some pictures while we are there. If not, I'll be sure to update as soon as I can!

This also means that any orders or emails will be attended to when we return later this week.

Creative Cardmaking & Papercraft Mag - Issue 17

I've just received the latest issue of Creative Cardmaking & Papercraft and inside I've written two articles showcasing the Darkroom Door pearlescent papers and Music rubber stamps!

Watercolour Cards

Here's a couple of cards that I created while I was in New Zealand teaching at the Pounawea Retreat for Wilma Sharp and Hasting Rubber Stamps. These are from the Brushless Watercolour class. I sprayed a LOT of water on the stamps for this particular demo, so the ink colours have really blended. I like the effect. I like that these stamps can give you a lot of detail when stamped normal (without water) or they can look like real solid blooms when stamped like this:

Stamps: Full Bloom Vol 1 (flower) and Full Bloom Vol 2 (quote).
Inks: Adirondack Meadow, Butterscotch, Red Pepper.

Right now Stew & I are getting ready for the SIA Trade Show being held in Sydney soon. I am teaching two workshops and we're also doing make & takes on the booth, so I'm busy preparing kits, product, giveaways, and also trying to do last minute samples for the booth. This year our booth is double the size, so there'll be lots to see!!

Also... guess what! It's Stewart's birthday on Sunday!! He's the amazing guy who makes all of the rubber stamps, keeps the website ticking, puts together all of the catalogues, class notes etc etc. He also vacuums the studio... I know, he's a keeper! Happy Birthday Stew!

Filmstrips Swap Gallery!

The Filmstrips Swap has been completed and all of the swappers are starting to receive their return parcels! I am so excited about this swap - the diversity and range of ideas and styles was amazing. I just LOVED what everyone created!!

Robot Inspiration

This week The Stamping Queen are showcasing the Robot Montage on their blog. The design team have been busy creating projects - and they look fabulous! Check out The Stamping Queen blog here :)

I'm in New Zealand at the moment... I've been teaching at the Pounawea retreat and have had a fabulous time! The weather has been sunny, but then it rained today and rewarded us with a fabulous rainbow over the water. The scenery down here is so green and lush... just love it! The classes have been lots of fun, and I will have more projects to share when I return home tomorrow.
