Zodiac sign: Capricorn
Lives: in beautiful Cooranbong, NSW
Known for: A serious obsession with RED, not measuring anything, lots of layers in my work and loving a good chat and a laugh
Blog: www.lisapate.blogspot.com
Loves to:
Do anything creative - stamp, scrapbook, sew. Head up the Watagan mountins with my hubby and kiddies, swim the the ocean and drink red wine.
Loves to create: anything and everything. Layouts, cards, and mini albums rate pretty high.
Favourite Darkroom Door product: The stamps - nothing like the crispness of stamping with RED rubber.
Have you ever been in a darkroom? Um, my bedroom is dark at night?? Does that count??
Let’s say you’ve been invited to come into our darkroom for a day. What would you bring with you? My fave inks, a couple of blocks of chocolate and a sense of humour.
Are you afraid of the dark? Not anymore :) I was petrified as a kid.

1. In a bowl place the six tea bags and boiling water, add the fabric and let in sit in the solution to it reaches the colour you want. Air dry and iron it flat.
2. Using either fabric or a permanent ink, stamp your fave tree image onto the fabric
3. Iron on the pellon on the reverse side of the calico (a thin pellon is best). Using the needle and thread sew beads as desired onto the tree.
4. Sew the cotton lace around each side, and finish with some simple stitching to border the tree
5. On a scrap of Acetate stamp your chosen quote with black stazon ink, on the reverse side swipe some white paint to help the works stand out. Using a cropadile set make the holes and set the eyelets to attach the piece as shown.
6. Cut another piece of calico the same size and with right sides facing sew three sides together, leaving one end open (this will be the end that you slip over the album. Turn the right way out.
7. Slip the whole piece over the front of your album ( I used an American crafts 6 x 6 modern album) and finish with a wrap of ribbon and bow.
