Ok, I’m going to slip another one in – the Journal stamps, everyone has to own a set of journal stamps!
Have you ever been in a darkroom? Way back in grade 11 Art class, we did a term on photography. We had the most enthusiastic art teacher and it was brilliant!
Let’s say you’ve been invited to come into our darkroom for a day. What would you bring with you? I’ve been promising my daughter Shayla to take her disposable camera in to have the film developed that she took on school camp back in early October – so it would have to be that.
Are you afraid of the dark? Only really if I’m in a strange place – at home I walk around in the dark all the time.
Here's the first of Christine's projects...
Together Forever Layout:
Materials:
Darkroom Door 12x12 Paper: Legato, San Marco, Esplori, Rialto, Ti Amo
Music – Wordstrips
Wildflower - Stamps
Journal - Stamps
Venetian Vol 1 – Filmstrips
Black cardstock
Ink
Description:
This layout was created by layering the Venetian collection papers onto the Music background paper. The Venetian filmstrip becomes a wonderful accent amongst the layers of paper and photos. I stamped the wildflowers and butterflies directly onto the Esplori paper, cut around them and attached them to the layout making sure to only add a tiny bit of glue to the centre of the butterflies so the wings could then be lifted off the page. The journal stamp was used to document the name and date of the layout and the music word strips were used to create a title and subtitles.
Fab layout Chris! Love the butterflies fluttering about :)
Christine has many more projects to share so pease check back tomorrow to see more of her work!
